Our partner practices span multiple states and continue to expand, and we are building the data and analytics capability that will give every partner the visibility, rigor, and insight typically reserved for institutional platforms.The RoleThe Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics is a foundational hire on the Aviva platform team. You will own how Aviva uses data to run the business — what we measure and how we define it, whether the numbers are right, and, most importantly, turning those numbers into decisions that improve partner practice performance. You will be the person who notices when a number is off, finds out why, and works with our operations team and practice owners to act on it.This is a hands-on role. You will inherit a defined toolset (Corral Data as our data platform partner, Zenoti as the dominant practice management system) and a clear mandate. Corral Data builds and runs the data pipelines and dashboards; you will direct and check their work and own the KPI definitions, data standards, and analysis that sit on top. You will be the senior voice in the room on every data and reporting decision — translating operator questions into analysis, and translating data back into decisions practices can act on.You will start as a team of one — a player-coach who does the work yourself — with a path to add one or two analysts as the platform scales.Key ResponsibilitiesData accuracy and Corral Data partnershipDirect Corral Data (or other BI tools) on bringing every Aviva partner practice into our reporting as practices join the platform, including new acquisitionsOwn data quality and governance: source-system standards, definitions, refresh cadence, and catching and fixing errors before they reach a decisionMaintain and continuously improve the platform's analytics environment, ensuring data is trusted, timely, and accessiblePerformance insights and decision supportDesign and maintain operating dashboards with Corral Data (or other BI tools) for practice owners, platform leadership, and functional teams (finance, operations, marketing, clinical)Iterate based on user feedback; ensure every dashboard ties to a decision someone is actually makingRoll out new dashboards and reporting to partner practices with appropriate training and change managementRun a monthly practice performance review with the operations team: which practices are slipping, why, and what to try — then follow up on whether it workedTrack membership, package, and patient retention metrics and help practices act on themProduce board- and investor-grade metrics (same-store growth, membership share, margin) on a routine cadenceKPI definition and practice management expertisePartner with practice owners, the Aviva operations team, and functional leaders to define, document, and standardize the KPIs that matter for a med spa business — clinical productivity, retention, revenue per visit, injector utilization, marketing funnel conversion, inventory turns, and moreBecome Aviva's go-to expert on how Zenoti (and other practice management systems used by partners) record data, so front-desk workflows produce numbers we can trustTranslate KPI definitions into precise, auditable calculations in source systems and in Corral Data (or other BI tools)Practice systems and data standardsMap the systems in use across partner practices — practice management (Zenoti and others), payroll/HRIS, accounting, phones, marketing tech — and how each feeds our numbersWorking with Corral Data and vendors, identify integration and automation opportunities that reduce manual work and increase visibility for owners and the platformSet platform standards where appropriate; preserve practice autonomy where it matters. Drive measurable improvements in operating efficiency and data qualityCross-functional partnershipServe as the trusted data partner to every functional leader at the platform and to every partner practice ownerSupport M&A integration: scope and execute the data and systems onboarding for each new partner practiceCommunicate clearly and credibly with non-technical audiences — partner practice owners are entrepreneurs who want answers, not jargonWhat success looks like in year oneAll partner practices reporting into Corral Data on one set of definitions, with data you have validated as accurateA defined, documented Aviva KPI framework adopted across the platformA core set of standard dashboards in production and actively used by practice owners and platform leadershipA monthly practice performance review running with the operations team, with clear examples of the numbers changing a decisionA repeatable, time-bound integration playbook for onboarding new partner practices to the Aviva data and systems environmentBoard metrics (same-store growth, membership share, margin) produced routinely and consistentlyRequired qualifications6+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence, currently at the manager, senior manager, or director level — and still hands-onOwned the numbers inside a multi-location business (not as a consultant) — healthcare services, dental, veterinary, fitness, restaurants, retail, or similar multi-site operatorHands-on expertise with at least one modern BI/analytics platform and strong SQL skillsExperience working directly with practice management systems, vertical SaaS, or other line-of-business operating systems — including extracting, modeling, and integrating their dataProven ability to define KPIs and reporting frameworks with operating leaders, and a track record of data changing operating decisions — not just delivering dashboards on requestExperience bringing new or acquired locations onto common definitions and reportingStrong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders; ability to operate credibly with both practice owners and executive leadershipBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experiencePreferred qualificationsDirect experience with Zenoti, or with another major medical aesthetics / dermatology / dental / wellness practice management platformDirect experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and marketing revenue attribution reporting from marketing campaigns in Google Ads, Meta Ads, VoIP systemsExperience in medical aesthetics, dental, dermatology, or another multi-site healthcare services platformExperience deploying similar embedded analytics / data warehouse platforms across multi-entity environmentsExperience in a PE-backed or PE-quality platform environment, including M&A integration workExperience with membership, package, or other recurring-revenue models and customer retention analyticsExperience with systems integration work — APIs, vendor evaluations, data flows across business-critical applicationsBackground standing up a data and analytics function from a near-greenfield starting pointWorking knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite), HRIS platforms, VoIP/contact center systems, and marketing platforms common in multi-site healthcareWho you areYou move fast and ship work.
