Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:


Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective, and personalized nursing interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and procedures, reporting adverse reactions promptly.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, medication management, and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Current Georgia RN license with active BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent med-surg nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in procedures such as EKGs, venipuncture, and glucometer use.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
