JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIESIF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITEPosition Summary:This position is responsible for receiving, verifying and timely processing of vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests for payment, in accordance with departmental and company policies.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:Receives, verifies and matches invoices to supporting documentation prior to processing for paymentInputs and codes invoices into a computerized accounting system to process for paymentManually files processed invoices in pending files awaiting paymentMatches paid invoices to the check runsVerifies the mailing address on the checks and matches them to the address on the invoicesPrepares invoices for electronic filingScans, indexes and files invoices electronically for document storage and retrievalMaintains accounts payable files in accordance with the department’s record retention policySecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Distributes invoices to the appropriate departments for review and approvalReconciles vendor statementsResponds to vendor inquires and resolves payment issuesComplies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Acct of 1996 (HIPAA)Minimum Education and Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious office experienceBasic computer skillsCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Good communication and organizational skillsBasic knowledge of accounts payable processingTraining Requirements:Knowledge of department policies and proceduresKnowledge of Infinium, Stratton Warren and OnBaseMust be HIPAA certifiedPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Office work environmentMust be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of timeMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
