Key Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring that instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are organized, available, and functioning correctly.
- Provide skilled scrub support to surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical team members during various procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to maintain a smooth, safe, and effective operative environment.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection prevention protocols, aseptic practices, and organizational policies throughout all procedures.
- Handle, organize, and pass surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist with direct patient care activities before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
- Support the cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of surgical instruments and operating room equipment between procedures.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other perioperative team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and ongoing professional development to promote clinical excellence and continuous learning.
- Operate within the legal and professional boundaries of the Operating Room Technician role while adhering to regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.

To be eligible for this Operating Room Technician position, you should be passionate about delivering safe, high-quality surgical care through technical expertise and teamwork. Candidates must have completed an accredited Operating Room Technician training program and possess a high school diploma. Current certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory. You should be dedicated to upholding the highest standards of patient safety, surgical excellence, and professional practice while contributing to a collaborative perioperative team.
