Transport Monitor Technician - Transportation - Full Time - Forbes Hospital

Job Title

Transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility. Performs continuous observation, interpretation and communication of cardiac rhythms for patients being transported on a cardiac monitor.

Essential Responsibilities

• Transports patients on cardiac monitors from their rooms to testing site and back on a scheduled basis; accurately analyzes and interprets ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting department. Includes use of the pneumatic tube system.
• Provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Maintains transportation equipment in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Required

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
