Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN). The RN will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Schedule

The position offers a day shift schedule of 5x8 hours, from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with weekend on-call requirements of one weekend per month and overnight call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients during procedures.
• Perform endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP.
• Manage patient care pre- and post-procedure.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage instruments during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN, specifically in the endoscopy specialty.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
