Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Unit - Nights

Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $27.74 - $45.46 per hour, depending on prior experience. Evening differential: $2.50 per hour. Night differential: $3.00 per hour. Weekend differential: $3.00 per hour. Department Overview Our Surgical Unit at Norman Regional is seeking a new graduate or experienced RN to join our team. The team thrives in a fast‑paced environment, is highly collaborative, and is dedicated to delivering safe, effective and compassionate clinical care. The unit has 32 beds and cares for patients with both surgical and non‑surgical conditions, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Nurses collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes for our patients. Job Summary Assessment and reassessment: systematically evaluates patient health needs, taking into account age and condition, involving patients, families, and other providers. Developing nursing diagnosis and outcomes: analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and expected outcomes. Implementation and coordination of care: delivers nursing interventions to achieve goals using evidence‑based practice, regulations, and policy guidance. Evaluation: assesses patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence‑based knowledge to recognize problems and reach sound conclusions. Discharge planning: evaluates discharge needs related to the plan of care and utilizes resources as needed. Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Requirements can be met by equivalent combinations of education and experience. Licensure & Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or an active Multistate RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required during orientation prior to patient care, and maintenance throughout employment.
