Licensed Insurance Producer, Personal & Small Commercial Lines

Vantage Point Risk is an independent insurance agency in Eugene, Oregon. We're hiring a licensed P&C producer to sell personal lines and small commercial insurance.

Here's why this role is different from most insurance sales jobs. Captive agents sell one company's products and hope they fit. We shop 85+ carriers, so when you quote a client, you can actually place the business. And you won't memorize 85 carriers: our systems and training surface the right markets for each risk. You sell, the technology does the busywork.

What you'll do

• Sell personal lines and small commercial insurance: prospect, quote, present, close, retain
• Work inbound leads and referrals, and generate your own opportunities
• Cross-sell to build multi-line clients instead of one-line policies
• Compete for accounts that already have an agent, and win them on advice and follow-through
• Keep your pipeline current in our agency management system

What you'll need

• Active Property & Casualty license (required, we cannot consider unlicensed applicants)
• Disciplined follow-up and strong phone and written communication
• Resilience: you handle "no" and make the next call
• Comfort learning new technology, including AI tools. We're a tech-forward agency and it shows in how we work
• Sales experience preferred but not required. Newer licensed producers with real drive do well here, and we train the craft

Pay and structure

Hourly base plus uncapped performance pay on new business and renewals. You build recurring income that grows every year your clients stay, not just a paycheck. As your book grows, you can move to a more heavily performance-based structure with more upside.

Schedule

Part-time to start, growing to full-time as your book of business grows. Your production sets the pace. In-office in Eugene for a minimum of the first 90 days; that's where training, carrier knowledge, and momentum get built.
