We appreciate your attention to detail and look forward to learning more about you!The OpportunityWe are seeking a Student Intern to support natural gas scheduling, commercial operations, and energy market analysis activities.This role provides hands-on experience supporting commercial marketing within the natural gas business. The successful candidate will gain exposure to natural gas scheduling, transport and storage optimization, energy trading support systems, and market fundamentals while working with experienced professionals in a fast-paced commercial environment.At TC Energy, connection is at the heart of everything we do. Every day presents an opportunity to learn, grow and make an impact while helping power progress for the communities we serve.What you'll doSupport natural gas marketing activities for an assigned operating regionAssist with transaction entry and administration activities within the ENDUR Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systemSupport transport and storage optimization activitiesAnalyze market information and support discussions related to natural gas market fundamentalsAssist with commercial reporting, data validation, and operational processesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to support daily business activities and commercial decision-makingDevelop an understanding of natural gas transportation, storage, and trading operationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancementsMinimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled in an accredited Economics or related degree programCompletion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work termAvailability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work termPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of natural gas markets, energy market fundamentals, or commercial operationsFamiliarity with energy trading, transportation, storage, or scheduling conceptsInterest in commercial optimization, economics, market analysis, or energy tradingExperience working with data analysis, reporting tools, or business systemsDemonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal settingExhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiativesStrong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environmentCommitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguityExperience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing prioritiesAbility to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skillsReflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal developmentTo remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-HybridRelocation EligibilityThis position is eligible for our student relocation assistance program.About our businessWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
