Maintenance Engineer I

Maintenance Engineer IAssume responsibility for the safe condition of assigned facilities, including repairs to doors, windows, ceiling tile & grid, floor coverings, toilet stalls, lockers, hardware, etc.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Minimum of three years experience in general or specialized maintenance experience.Technical training/certification preferred.Meet minimum physical requirements. (Pre-employment examination required)Valid Driver's LicenseDuties:Examine assigned facilities for purpose of general maintenance.Enter and complete work orders as requested.Responsible for safe condition of assigned facilities.Must have regular and consistent attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.Equipment Used:Power tools (drill, saw, etc.), hand tools, welder (gas and electric air), shop tools (band saw, table saw), ladders, lifts.Working Conditions:Continual walking and standing; frequent heavy lifting and carrying; climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Work around moving objects or vehicles.
