MRI Technologist II

Role: MRI Technologist II, responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures in a patient-centered, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Include Executing MRI protocols, selecting appropriate technical factors, and supporting invasive procedures under MRI guidance. Demonstrating clinical competency across all locations and patient populations, ensuring age-appropriate care. Participating in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, safety, and patient experience. Maintaining a safe MRI environment by screening patients, adhering to safety protocols, and managing departmental supplies. Transporting patients, verifying orders, documenting activities, and processing exams for interpretation. Performing quality assurance activities and troubleshooting equipment issues. Providing patient education, addressing concerns, and ensuring effective communication. Qualifications Associate's degree and MRI certification from an accredited program. 3-4 years of MRI experience with the ability to independently perform all protocols. Current ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required upon hire; internal candidates with extensive experience may be considered without certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Skills & Abilities Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, and patient care. Technical proficiency with MRI operations and ability to work effectively under stress.
