Program Assistance Center (PAC) Finance Associate This detail‑oriented, self‑motivated team player will support UWSCMI's efforts to positively impact lives across the United Way of South Central Michigan region. The PAC Finance Associate will verify and reconcile invoices, enter bills and payables into the accounting platform and support account maintenance and reconciliations. The position will reconcile receivables, and produce reports to support budget monitoring, financial reporting, and audit preparation. This position is hybrid with a minimum of three days in the office each week. It is based out of the Jackson office. Occasional travel within the region is required. Accounting & Transaction Processing Supports the Associate Director of Finance using UWSCMI's general ledger software. Processes invoices for timely payment. Processes transactions and performs accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts. Assists with journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable entries. Grants & Financial Reporting Assists with the preparation and monitoring of grant expenses and revenue. Assists with the creation of grant reports and audit preparation. Supports grants management and financial reporting. Compliance & Confidentiality Ensures PII, compensation, client information and other financial data are kept confidential. Other Duties Other duties as assigned. Entry‑level to professional experience in accounting with a focus on grants, AP/AR required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred; non‑profit experience is desired. Ability to work independently and within a team environment, excellent problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process large amounts of data. High level of organization. Significant knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and accounting software. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Unquestioned confidentiality with sensitive financial and personnel matters and issues. Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Reliable transportation for travel within a six‑county footprint; personal motor vehicle use requires proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license. Mileage for work travel is reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate. Moderate level of stress caused by tight deadlines. Occasional work outside of normal business hours. Successful completion of a criminal background check. Candidate must be able to work successfully in a remote environment with private office space and high‑speed internet. Salary The annual salary for this position is $45,920 per year.
