We are currently seeking a dedicated Unit Manager to oversee and manage the nursing care within a designated unit, ensuring the highest standards of care and fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Position Overview:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing at The Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center , you will be responsible for the daily operations of your assigned unit, including direct supervision of nursing staff, overseeing patient care delivery, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You will work closely with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the well-being of each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing care for residents in your assigned unit, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with individualized care plans.

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Develop and review care plans for residents, ensuring they are personalized, accurate, and up-to-date.

Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, ensuring that nursing staff follow care plans, adhere to safety standards, and meet regulatory guidelines.

Ensure staffing levels are appropriate for the unit's needs and coordinate with the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing to address any staffing shortages or changes.

Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, addressing concerns, offering guidance, and facilitating professional development.

Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for each resident.

Monitor resident health and progress, conduct assessments, and take appropriate action when changes in condition are identified.

Oversee medication administration, ensuring compliance with protocols and proper documentation.

Promote a resident-centered approach, fostering a compassionate and respectful environment that meets both the physical and emotional needs of residents.

Maintain up-to-date documentation, including resident charts, care plans, and incident reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to continuously improve the standard of care.

Assist in staff scheduling, including overseeing shift assignments and managing time off requests.

Handle resident and family concerns, offering resolutions and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies, regarding healthcare delivery, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Ohio

Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.

Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a nursing team.

Strong clinical assessment skills, with the ability to identify and respond to changes in residents' conditions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and physicians.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
