ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to providing high-quality care in an Intensive Care Unit setting.Job DetailsUnit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekYears of Experience Required: 2 years in ICUShift Notes: Night shifts with weekend rotation (6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule)Floating RequirementsTravelers may be asked to float within the zone they are hired into, based on facility needs. However, floating within this specific zone will only occur under exceptional circumstances.QualificationsRequired Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSSExperience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required. Preference will be given to those with prior travel experience. First-time travelers must have 3+ years of ICU experience and Epic experience.Unit InformationNurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:1-2, depending on acuity; may flex to 1:3.Titration Skills: Nurses must be comfortable titrating all critical drips, including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin.Support Staff: Designated charge nurse but typically does not take a patient assignment unless necessary. No nursing aides are available; sitters are used as needed.Respiratory Therapy: Designated respiratory therapy staff assist but may not be continually present in the ICU.Tele/Monitor Requirements: RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips as no monitor tech is available.Schedule and Time OffScheduling: Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a schedule created for 6 weeks at a time. Staff are expected to be flexible and assist in filling scheduling gaps.Time Off Requests: All time off requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment.Weekend Requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week period.Holiday Requirements: May be required to participate in holiday rotations.OrientationNew clinicians will undergo 1-2 days of orientation with a preceptor to ensure a smooth transition into the unit.
