About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 3 years preferred License: New York license required Certifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) Must-Have: Experience in general OR procedures. Experience in a variety of surgical cases, including but not limited to: - Gastric bypass - Gastric sleeve - Aortic aneurysm repair - Colon resection - Laparoscopic procedures - Thyroidectomy Description: The CST will provide surgical assistance in the operating room. Participation in surgical procedures requires a thorough understanding of surgical techniques and protocols. Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes is essential. A strong foundation in aseptic techniques is required. Experience with various surgical specialties is preferred. The role includes managing instruments and supplies for surgical cases. The CST will also assist in ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment. Availability for call shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. Candidates must adhere to safety standards and protocols throughout procedures.
