Backed by a team of dedicated professionals and a commitment to continuous improvement, Dyno Nobel sets the standard for reliable and responsible blasting manufacturing and services worldwide.As a Controls Engineer, you will develop, install, manage and maintain equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes in the Dyno Nobel Americas emulsion plants and mobile fleet. You will collaborate with Wholly Owned operations to successfully implement and upgrade control systems projects for new and existing assets (fixed and mobile). Other duties include:Design electrical schematics, interconnection diagrams, power distribution, control panels and other electrical drawingsIdentify problems and potential problems with control systems and designsCreate functional requirements specification documents for control system designs for engineering projects and standard equipment/processesDevelop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), controls narratives and testing protocols for new and existing systemsDevelop training documents and standards for existing machine and control designsContribute to working teams for projectsEnsure control system designs and construction meets the customers' requirements in all aspectsManage the overall scope of work within budget and to the agreed scheduleManage forecasting and reporting for project resources and schedulingOversee decisions regarding all aspects of control system project design and implementationEnsure compliance with applicable Engineering Standards for the manufacture of explosives and hazardous materialsEnsure compliance with applicable HSE rules, regulations, and standardsWhat We're Looking For:Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering3+ years demonstrated skill in an industrial/manufacturing environment with PLC programming and trouble shootingSolidWorks experience is requiredDemonstrated skill in specific control disciplines including distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC) (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Red Lion and others helpful)Working knowledge of Siemens (and other manufacturers') PLC systems, both programming and hardwareUnderstanding of power distribution, low voltage and high voltageBasic knowledge of industrial manufacturing and chemical process automation & control systemsPositive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.What We Offer:3 weeks vacation + 12 paid holidays + PTO daysFull health benefits including employer HSA contributions + dental plan with an orthodontic option, wellness coaching availableMatching 401KA generous tuition reimbursement programGeneral paid parental leaveFriendly and supportive coworkersZero Harm for Everyone EverywhereValue People – Respect, Recognize & RewardThink Customer.
