Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Medical Assistant Location: Franklin, WI Employment type: Contract Hours: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, 4 days + 1 day 7:30 am – 11:00 am. Float between Franklin and Milwaukee sites. Responsibilities Interview patients, measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and record information on patient charts. Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials. Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests. Give injections or treatments and perform routine laboratory tests. Schedule appointments and make follow‑up phone calls to patients. Perform administrative tasks, complete client company and OSHA‑regulated forms, and provide assistance at the front desk. Key data into the computer to maintain clinic and patient records. May require other duties as assigned. Qualifications National certification in Medical Assisting OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands‑on externship completed and passed. Must hold Medical Assistant Certification from NHA, AAMA, CCMA, NCMA. CPR (BLS) with hands‑on evaluation and front‑ and back‑of‑card proof. Must meet American Heart Association standards. Excellent customer service and communication skills – no exceptions. Strong professionalism and strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office/EPIC applications.
