Patient Service Specialist

Location: Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Midlothian, Gayton Crossing, Glen Allen, Ashland, and Mechanicsville, VA

Type of Employment: Full time (FLOAT)

Schedule: Weekdays (7am to 4pm OR 10am to 7pm)

Compensation: $18-$19/hour - (Pending experience)

***This position requires traveling between centers in the greater Central Virginia area.***

***Reliable transportation and a clean driving record is preferred.***

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Chesterfield, we want them to have an exceptional experience starting at the front desk. That's where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you'll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health Care Experience
• Previous Therapy Experience
• 1 Year of OP Experience
