Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionStacy Witbeck is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support the project team in the successful completion of a large civil construction project. This position supports the project team in planning, monitoring work activities and building and maintaining a positive safety culture. This is a $1B+ project and the ideal candidate will have experience on projects ranging from $100m+ with 3+ years in construction and 7+ years of safety management experience. Looking for someone who has managed the safety program for a project or a group of smaller projects as part of an overall program.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Knowledge of the Company Safety and Health ProgramAssist in the implementation of the Injury and Illness Prevention ProgramAssist in the project site-specific safety orientationConduct various employee safety and health trainingsParticipate in the development and review of Job Hazard AnalysisConduct project safety inspectionsAssist with incident investigationsEngage in Cal/OSHA inspections, as necessaryTake part in monitoring subcontractor safety performanceSkills, Knowledge & Expertise**Please note--Requirements are essential, but preferences have flexibility. **Requirements:3+ years of Construction Safety Management Experience7+ years of Safety experienceConstruction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) CertificationOSHA 30 Hour in Construction or OSHA 500 Construction TrainerStrong communication skillsComputer software – Microsoft Office Suite, HCSS Safety or Salus SafetyAbility and willingness to be on-site as requiredAbility to work night shift full-timeDriver's License in good standingPreferences:Adobe or BluebeamHCSS Safety or SimilarMicrosoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.Attention to DetailReliableTeam PlayerBridge and structures work experience is a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
