Job Description Job Description Medical Assistant As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. * Greet and prepare patients for examinations and treatments. * Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other patient information. * Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor treatments. * Prepare and clean examination rooms and maintain appropriate supplies. * Collect and prepare laboratory specimens as directed. * Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). * Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and assist with patient follow-up. * Communicate test results and other information to patients as directed by the provider. * Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. * Process forms, authorizations, prescriptions, and other clinical documentation. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment. * Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare provider or practice manager.
