Job Description

This position performs a variety of essential duties to assist the surgical team in the care of surgical patients. The Surgical Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures under the supervision of qualified operating room personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the circulator and surgeon in surgical procedures.
• Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients at all times.
• Perform necessary tasks as directed by operating room staff.
• Comply with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies related to healthcare provision.

Schedule

This position offers flexibility with shifts, allowing for either 8-hour or 10-hour workdays. An on-call component is included in the role, comprising weeknight call once a week and weekend call every fifth weekend.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the necessary qualifications and certifications to perform the duties of a Surgical Assistant effectively. Attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential attributes for success in this role.
