Risk Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Director of Risk Management / Performance Improvement provides guidance to reduce operational risk and provide guidance and direction to keep the facility accredited within the guidelines of JC and other regulatory agencies. Key responsibilities include: risk identification and evaluation, risk reduction, contract preparation, claims management, loss control and prevention committee participation, employee/physician education, reporting, report preparation and submission, performance improvement. Follows all levels of confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines. Complies with safety and security policies and procedures, including those regarding incidents and injuries. Understands and complies with the intent of the Corporate Compliance Program. Ensures appropriate and timely reporting of occurrences; enters incidents into the Midas Database. Demonstrates the necessary computer skills to perform reporting, documentation and day to day duties.
Job requirements: bachelor's preferred along with one to two years experience with children and adolescents preferred. Previous behavioral health experience would be a plus. Must be organized and detail oriented and have excellent computer (above average working knowledge of Microsoft office) and customer service experience. Three years clinical experience in a psychiatric in-patient facility with knowledge of high-risk areas.
