Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 hiring bonus available for eligible external hires who meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides healthcare services using radionuclides to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires advanced technical skills to perform a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of imaging data, and other specialized tasks necessary to produce diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The technologist exercises professional judgment while delivering compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine imaging and diagnostic procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols
- Operate imaging equipment and perform computer processing of diagnostic data
- Ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide appropriate patient care and education
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training program
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire OR National Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology certification upon hire
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
- Minimum of 6 months of nuclear medicine experience within the last year, or at least 2 years of full-time experience with no more than a 1-year absence from nuclear medicine practice
