Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant or RN experience required.

License: Current RN license required.

Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start).

Must-Have: Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience reflected on skills checklist. Must be proficient in Misonix/CUSA. Candidates must have experience putting organs back in the new patient, not just harvesting.

Description: 0700-1730 with liver call; will perform other cases if no liver/transplant is available. Requirements are non-negotiable. First-timers accepted. 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month are required. Nurse manager will discuss specifics during the interview. Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs is expected. Traveler must be aware that time-sensitive modules need to be prioritized once confirmed for an assignment. All travelers must be nicotine-free, with no exceptions. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required. This is a short-term acute care teaching facility. All candidates must be willing to participate in training for students and new staff. Strict do not call in policy is enforced. This is a smoke-free facility. Travel candidates who remain on a continuous contract for a minimum of 1 year are required to complete annual hands-on competency. Candidates are expected to complete required modules prior to start. Modules are non-billable and vary by specialty. Failure to complete the competency requirements will result in removal from the schedule.
