A retail pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide per diem coverage in Galena, Illinois, with shifts scheduled for August 20-21 and September 1. This role offers the chance to contribute to excellent patient care by ensuring accurate medication dispensing and counseling in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately under direct managerial supervision.
- Counsel and advise patients on medication regimens to promote safe and effective use.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational protocols.
- Maintain stock levels and manage controlled drug records and inventories meticulously.
- Assist with resolving patient issues and clarifying third-party coverage concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A current and clear pharmacist license from the state of Illinois is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in retail pharmacy practice.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software, specifically Pioneer, is preferred.
Schedule and Location:
- Location: Galena, Illinois
- Shifts: 1st shift
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Term: August 20-21 and September 1 (Per Diem)
