Backend Engineer

Job TitleWO end date to be extended out further on a month by month basis.Job Duties:Develops innovation strategies, processes, and best practices.Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects.Supports and ensures business objectives being met.Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design.Leads the work of other small group of 3 to 4 engineers for assigned Engineering projects Leads and participates in end to end service implementations, data feeds ingestion, and orchestration.Designs and implements low latency services.Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.Troubleshoots business and production issues.Top Skills Needed/Required:Good Backend related development skills, Operational Excellence dealing with running production services, and also good engineering excellence skills driving features in a project.Skills and Experience That Separate Top Candidates:Java, Sprint methodology, operationalizing production servicesWhat Makes a Candidate Profile Stand Out:Good experience in past working with backend technologies.Day to Day Responsibilities:Developing and designing features assigned by the team in an independent manner.Project:W+ MCAM related projectsContribution to the Project:Will be a full time developer working on delivering the core W+ projects.Team Makeup:The team has a mix of FE, OL and BE engineers working in a pod manner driving projects.Location:Preferably Seattle if possible otherwise, close to any approved TechHub location like Sunnyvale, etc.Client Badge:Not needed for now.Office Days:Potentially 2 days a week.Please note that candidates who will be working in Bentonville, AR, Reston, VA or some Texas locations must have a VendorSAFE background check completed.Opportunity to Extend or Convert to FTE:YesPrevious Hiring for This Role:Yes.Where Candidates Historically Fell Short:Typically the performance during the project reflects success of the candidate in delivering the projects.
