Nahse

Chief Nursing Officer

Methodist Rehabilitation Center

Jackson, MS

Methodist Rehabilitation, Mississippi's leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation care, is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join its executive leadership team. For more than 50 years, Methodist Rehab has been restoring hope and independence to individuals recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, major trauma, and other complex conditions. This is an opportunity to lead nursing and clinical support services at a mission-driven, faith-based organization that has earned national recognition for clinical excellence, including Joint Commission accreditation and CARF accreditation through 2028.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CNO holds strategic, operational, financial, and clinical accountability for nursing and ancillary services across the organization's 80-bed, $80 million rehabilitation hospital. The CNO serves as a key member of the senior executive team, establishing the vision for nursing practice and fostering a culture of clinical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a broad and highly visible leadership role overseeing inpatient nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, clinical laboratory services, infection prevention and employee health, and volunteer services, with direct reports including two Directors of Inpatient Nursing and the Directors of Respiratory Care, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Clinical Lab Services.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced, mission-driven nursing executive with a track record of leading clinical operations in rehabilitation, post-acute, or similarly specialized care environments of comparable or greater scope. The CNO will have direct accountability for clinical outcomes, patient experience, patient safety, regulatory and accreditation compliance, and workforce development, and is comfortable operating at the C-suite level while remaining deeply connected to frontline clinical teams. A master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is required, along with at least five years of progressive senior nursing leadership experience; CCRN certification is preferred.
