Field Service Engineer 2
Intuitive Surgical
Field Service Engineer 2 at Intuitive Surgical installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs surgical systems across an assigned territory. The role requires electro-mechanical expertise, customer service skills, and adherence to healthcare protocols and warranty obligations.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance including inspections, preventive care, software updates, and system upgrades
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Intuitive products and equipment within specified timeframes
- Coordinate system and hardware delivery and installation at customer sites
- Maintain inventory, documentation, company-issued equipment, and complete administrative reporting
- Provide training to end-users, support sales and other teams, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 1-3 years of field service experience preferred
- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent training and experience
- Proven troubleshooting ability with electro-mechanical systems
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- General computer proficiency and administrative record-keeping skills
- Clean driving record and ability to lift 75 lbs
- Willingness to travel approximately 60% and reside within 30 miles of territory
