Underwriter - Terrorism

Job Details Job Type: Permanent Position: Underwriter, Terrorism Reporting to: Head of US Terrorism Location: Atlanta, Chicago (Hybrid – requires two days in the office weekly) Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 Travel: Approximately 30% regional travel for industry events and broker visits. Responsibilities Underwrite, price, and negotiate accounts consistent with the company's strategy and guidelines for the Terrorism product line. Develop new relationships and increase productivity of existing relationships with wholesale and retail brokers. Drive flow of qualified new business submissions from appointed brokers. Maintain excellent customer service standards. Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability. Qualifications Experience in sales is ideal; experience in insurance with established relationships with wholesale property and general liability brokers is a plus. Determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Outgoing, driven, high attention to detail, and results-focused mentality. Ability to identify business needs. Strong understanding of basic sales principles, negotiation skills, and competitive drive. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment. Innate service focus enabling effective interaction with all levels of internal and external customers and partners. B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university.
