You'll be responsible for material handling, shipping and receiving activities, and the assembly and fabrication of PVC and CPVC valve products.Overtime: Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift as business conditions require it. Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.What You'll DoMust be able to successfully follow directions and adhere to all safety and work instructions.Ensure production is to Victaulic's established quality standardsMust be a team player who works effectively with others and contributes to a positive work environment.Must be able to safely operate PIVs (Powered Industrial Vehicles i.e. fork trucks, pallet jacks and walk behind stackers), industrial wrappers and jib hoistsBe able to safely load and unload trucks.Follow established work instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently identify products and product defectsMaintain work areas, tools, and materials in a clean and organized condition and return materials to designated locations after use.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines and participate in continuous improvement, quality, safety, and waste reduction initiatives.Report immediately to their supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.Perform all "5S" Daily Requirements and maintain a clean and organized workspaceRead and interpret work orders, shipping documents, labels, and production instructions.Complete all required paperwork, documentation, record keeping and inventory accurately and legiblyCommunicate immediately any unsafe conditions or non-conforming raw materials or productsAbility to gather necessary products and materials accurately for all customer orders assigned to themMust be able to assemble valves using mechanical assembly methods and/or solvent welding processes.Meet established productivity, quality, and safety expectations.What You NeedAbility to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers.Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.Ability to read and understand work instructions, shipping paperwork, and production documentation.Basic mechanical aptitude and technical skills required.Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds.Ability to safely use hand tools and basic measuring devices.Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.Experience operating pallet jacks and material handling equipment preferred.Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independentlyWorking ConditionsEmployee will be working in a warehouse/manufacturing environmentEmployee will lift up to 40lbs, generally 5-40lbsFrequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standingEmployee may have to work on the weekends, overtime, or different shiftsEmployee will wear personal protective equipment at all times such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, etcWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay with shift differentials and overtime opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision coverageRetirement savings plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth—we promote from withinTuition reimbursement and skills trainingCompensationThe hourly pay range for this position is $19.50 per hour.
