About the Position

Job Title

CT Technologist – Weekend Overnights

Location

New York, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Friday – Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM EST | On-call expected 2–3 shifts/month; availability for holidays and callback per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and insert IVs when necessary
• Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring correct transmission to the PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure required prior to start date
• Injection therapy certification must be noted on NYS license at time of submission (for NYS-licensed HCPs)
• Minimum two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association only
• Telemetry experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Injection certification preferred; candidates without it must be willing to complete the certification during the orientation process
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a patient and compassionate disposition
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
