Responsibilities Complete inspections Remove and install parts Implement optional accessories Perform maintenance Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting Conduct testing Apply Alta's Guiding Principles in daily activities Perform other duties as assigned Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance and punctuality Qualifications Excellent mechanical aptitude with solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical systems Own personal tools Positive attitude and high energy Intermediate language skills: read, interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide with two‑digit numbers and units of American money, weight, volume, and distance Intermediate reasoning: apply common sense to carry out written or spoken instructions and solve problems involving multiple concrete variables Physical Demands / Work Environment Physically/​sensory functions: stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, occasionally sit Lift and/or move: lift up to 25 lbs, frequently 26‑50 lbs, occasionally 51‑100+ lbs Work environment: near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather, wet or humid conditions, electrical shock, vibration Alta Equipment Group is an equal opportunity employer.
