Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Nurse provides direct, patient-centered care in the emergency department, responding effectively to urgent and emergent needs. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver culturally sensitive, evidence-based treatment and support patient and family engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly and accurately to determine priority and care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
• Communicate and advocate for patient preferences, values, and needs across the care continuum.
• Collaborate effectively within nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, safe patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare safety.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months validity upon hire.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Have prior experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred.
