Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Experience: 1 year Assignment: 13 weeks Start Date: September 21, 2026 Certifications: BLS & CPI required Key Responsibilities & Skills Assess patients’ mental health and behavioral status , including psychiatric disorders and substance use. Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate patient outcomes. Administer and monitor psychiatric medications , including side effects and adverse reactions. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for situations involving suicidal ideation, aggression, or behavioral emergencies. Demonstrate strong therapeutic communication , empathy, active listening, and rapport-building skills. Monitor vital signs, mental status changes, physical/psychological symptoms, and medication effects . Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health care practices.
