The main one, most are wrestling with is how to use data and research for their decisions. With this hole in the market in mind, they have recently brought over one of the brightest minds from the AI/Machine learning world to build a product that doesn’t exist at this moment. It is tremendously ambitious goal, and they need a special team to do it. They are constructing its own floor, in their current space, and it is just at the start of this exciting journey. They are building a tool that can automate and replace the hundreds of thousands to million dollars that companies are spending in data science. This tool will greatly cut down on in some cases eliminate the need for companies to pour over data researching to find trends, it will do it for them, basically personalization for B2B.

They are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to come on board and lead this ambitious initiative. If applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems sounds like fun to you, keep reading. You will do things like , use machine learning techniques, build recommendation systems, and develop internal A/B testing procedures, and automation creation reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques

· Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

· Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

· Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

· Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

· Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

· Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, EMR, and Redshift to shape data and statistical modeling packages like R and python to build customer models.

· Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.

· Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches

QUALIFICATIONS

· Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms

· Experience with common data science toolkits and data visualization tools

· Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig etc.

· Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.

· Good scripting and programming skills such as Python

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields, or equivalent practical experience. Masters is preferred

· Relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction, analysis, model building, deployment and communication of insights

· Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis skills and problem-solving skills. Sophisticated user of statistical tools.
