Construction Materials Field Services Manager

Responsibilities ECS Limited invites a certified Field Services Manager to lead and coordinate field technicians in Phoenix. The role involves ensuring that technicians are properly trained, organized, and equipped with up‑to‑date safety practices and that their daily activities support the overall performance of the Field Services department. Safety : Oversee calibration of field equipment, maintain inventory, promote a safety culture, ensure proper PPE use, and assist with company‑required safety training. Communication : Manage field‑services scheduling operations, confirm schedule requests, review daily field reports, resolve issues, provide regular assistance to project managers and the department manager, and attend project‑site meetings to resolve technical problems. Training and Development : Supervise, lead, and mentor staff; manage day‑to‑day operations and financial performance; address training gaps; collaborate with recruiting for staffing needs; steward CMT projects and proposals; and promote growth with an emphasis on marketing and business development. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of related experience, including practical work in laboratory testing, construction observation, field QA testing, site grading, and supervising construction materials testing (CMT). Must hold and be willing to maintain basic certifications; advanced certifications may be required based on duties performed. Capability to lift a minimum of 85 pounds. Expert understanding of construction materials testing principles, ASTM standards, and their applications. Ability to determine appropriate testing methods and evaluate test results against specification compliance. Strong understanding of construction materials testing and evaluation techniques. Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing). Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors and to build a team. Knowledge of ECS systems and procedures is a plus.
