Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate degree in science or health‑related field strongly preferred Medical terminology or Medical Assistant certification preferred Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and typing proficiency Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and laboratory systems Ability to follow procedures in a regulated clinical laboratory environment Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Ability to manage inconsistent workflow and multitask effectively Key Responsibilities Receive, accession, and track incoming patient specimens using laboratory information systems (LIS) Prepare and organize materials such as cassettes, slides, and send‑out specimens for laboratory processing Perform accurate data entry, scanning, and documentation in LIS and related systems Conduct quality control checks and verify data accuracy using printed and electronic reports Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure readiness of accessioning and processing areas Support QA/QC activities, process improvement projects, and workflow evaluations Maintain a clean and compliant work environment following bloodborne pathogen and safety standards Communicate with laboratory, front office, and client contacts to resolve issues and obtain missing information Assist with additional laboratory support tasks and special projects as needed Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance included Employee discounts Competitive weekly pay and opportunities for growth Staffmark is an equal opportunity employer.
