Collaborative Health Clinical Faculty (part-time): St. Louis, MO

Job Description Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part‑Time Clinical Nursing Faculty to teach in our BSN Nursing program in St. Louis, MO. You will mentor students in an inpatient clinical setting located in the St. Louis area, linking classroom learning and simulations to real‑world patient care. Teaching is onsite in a clinical setting with one of our clinical partners. Schedule: most commonly 12‑hour rotations (7a‑7p) for three to four consecutive days. Collaborative Health This course expands senior nursing students’ scope of practice and focuses on leadership and management aspects for traditional students. Responsibilities Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments. Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care to an individual or group of individuals. Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on level of performance based on course objectives. Be available for remediation of students as required. Orient and maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with assistance of agency/clinical personnel. Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students’ knowledge base, skill competency, and learning needs. Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner. May teach didactic course content under supervision of the course coordinator. Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns. Report to the dean or assistant dean; the course coordinator will also provide direct oversight. Qualifications A master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Missouri. At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in instruction as a registered nurse. Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required. Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning. Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Eagerness to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care. Sense of responsibility and purpose, with a desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community. Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; course assignments prioritized to professors currently licensed in Illinois. Additional Information Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position: In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment and $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
