Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking qualified Registered Nurses for NICU assignments to provide specialized care for neonatal patients, including very premature infants and babies with complex health conditions. The role involves working night shifts with a variety of clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures with precision.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Respond to urgent clinical situations, including initiating full body cooling and managing chest tubes or ventilators.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain competency with specialized equipment such as Artic Sun, Jet Ventilators, and external shunts.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and active RN license with at least 2 years of recent NICU experience.
• Certify in BLS, NRP, and STABLE; SC licensure required.
• Possess proficient EMR skills, specifically with a minimum of 1-year EPIC experience.
• Demonstrate excellent clinical judgment and ability to manage complex neonatal cases.
• Be willing to work night shifts (4x12-hour shifts) with call responsibilities as needed.
• Have a clean disciplinary record with no current travel restrictions exceeding specified mileage limits.
