Trailer Mechanic

Trailer MechanicResponsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment consisting of preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs to trailers.Essential DutiesPerform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systemsTroubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctionsPerforms P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are metAssists with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usageAssures compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulationsOther duties as assignedTrailer Mechanic Benefits Include:$1500 Sign on BonusClass A CDL Holders receive additional hourly compensationAnnual steel boots programUniforms providedTuition Reimbursement (restrictions apply)Great Work-Life BalanceRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Valid and unrestricted Driver's licenseMust have a ToolboxAutomotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferredMinimum of 1 year of Trailer Technician experience preferred.Physical Requirements:Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
