Neurosurgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Washington State

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day 5x8-Hour Shift (06:45 - 14:45)

Job Description: The Neurosurgical Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room, floating between units as needed. This position requires expertise in a variety of neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries. On-call coverage is required once a week, including one weekend every six weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in neurosurgical procedures ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Float to other services within the main OR as required.
• Participate in on-call duties to meet departmental needs.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 during procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in neurosurgery preferred, with a strong skill set in craniotomies and complex spine procedures.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
