UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.POSITION HIGHLIGHTS100% remote opportunity15 days of vacation your first year – Also, 12 days of sick time, 1 personal holiday, and 11 paid holidays each year100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b)PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze customer business and technical requirements and issues, recommending solutionsDesign, build, test, and implement enhancements to meet functional requirementsProvide production support and ongoing system troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and trainingManage projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needsREQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree Computer Science, Health Information Systems, Math, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experienceMUST currently Epic – ASAP certificationPriority will be given to candidates who have Epic Orders certification4+ years’ experience must include the following:2+ years providing EHR systems application maintenance/supportDemonstrated experience serving as a role model in providing an exceptional business partnership with customers, continuously adapting to their needs and feedback2+ year experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into design specifications, follow technical change control processes, and maintain technical documentationExperience mentoring others to increase overall professional effectivenessKnowledge of database structures, data definitions and data relationshipsKnowledge of all phases of software development or lifecycle for vendor supplied softwareDemonstrated ability to manage small to medium sized IT projects and/or process improvement initiativesDemonstrated ability to facilitate and influence multidisciplinary work groups in an application development or support settingDemonstrated ability to independently outline small project work plans and meet deadlinesExperience developing and executing test plans and test casesExperience supporting large scale enterprise customers, both internal and externalExperience walking clients through the use of systems, preferably in a healthcare environmentPlease note: Current UW Medicine ITS Employees without ASAP certification will still be consideredABOUT UW MEDICINE – WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHERUW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
