Pharmacy Courier

Salary: $20.47 - $28.56 hourly Position Summary The courier performs pharmacy delivery service to HealthPoint clinics, pharmacies, and other locations as required. The job involves manual lifting of pharmaceutical totes and supplies, loading totes into vehicle, operating the HealthPoint Pharmacy vehicle, and performing other non-clinical pharmacy and administrative tasks. Responsibilities Prepare pharmacy totes for delivery to various HealthPoint clinics, pharmacies, and other locations as specified. Deliver pharmaceuticals, interoffice mail, and supplies using HealthPoint pharmacy vehicle to specified locations. Pay any moving traffic violations and parking tickets received while performing job duties. Maintain a vehicle delivery log sheet. Maintain files, records and routines needed to ensure efficient operation of pharmaceutical deliveries. Provide pharmacy staff support which may include but is not limited to: Assist with inventory management in ordering and receiving medications from wholesaler and other vendors. File and retrieve pharmacy records as directed by pharmacist. Count and label medications, perform mail delivery duties and/or send clinic stock orders as directed by pharmacist. Provide pharmacy administrative support of various administrative tasks which may include, but not limited to: Scheduling Third‑party reconciliation PPE support: Assist with inventory management in cycle counts, ordering, and receiving of PPE supplies from wholesaler and other vendors. Assist with PPE room upkeep. Operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis to travel to various locations to perform a variety of functions which may include transporting goods, providing a service, or other tasks required for this position. Compliance with all traffic laws and company driving policies is mandatory. Pay any moving traffic violations and parking tickets received while performing job duties. Maintain good attendance, be punctual and work full scheduled shift; attendance is a condition of employment. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Attend staff meetings, in‑service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required. Requirements High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six (6) months to one (1) year delivery driving experience preferred. Maintain current registration/license with Washington State Board of Pharmacy; a Pharmacy Assistant license is required. Valid Washington State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record determined by HealthPoint's insurance carrier. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write basic correspondence such as memos. No presentation skills necessary. Possesses basic operating knowledge of computers. Vaccination Requirements Proof of vaccination for COVID‑19 is required prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID‑19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you must provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR, Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment. How to Gather Records If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled. If records do not show any data, seek guidance from your provider for further assistance. If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you may have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or be re‑vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you. This is an opportunity to get your immunization record up to date at no additional expense.
