Responsibilities
- Provide direct newborn care, including routine assessments, vital signs, weight monitoring, jaundice monitoring, feeding support, and newborn safety checks
- Collaborate with obstetrics and nursery teams; support Mother/Baby Couplet Care and assist with parent education and discharge planning
- Administer medications and maintain IV therapy as ordered; monitor and respond to changes in neonatal status
- Document care in the EMR (EPIC) per unit protocol, ensuring accuracy and timely charting
- Be adaptable to unit needs, including rotating to day or night shifts and covering to meet patient care requirements
- Participate in escalation processes; communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse and multidisciplinary team

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Vermont (or eligibility to obtain per assignment requirements)
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred
- Experience: minimum 2 years of newborn specialty nursing; antepartum experience preferred; open to charge role
- Facility experience: prior experience in a large (500+ bed) or teaching facility required
- EMR: EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
- Travel experience: prior travel experience highly preferred
- Other: reliable transportation required (public transportation not accessible); ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift
