Fleet Mechanic in Pine Mountain

Wild Animal Safari is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment that help keep the zoo running smoothly. This is a hands‑on role working on everything from rental vans and safari buses to tractors and maintenance vehicles used throughout the park. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on fleet vehicles including vans, buses, trucks, tractors, and trailers Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, tire work, and inspections Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment Troubleshoot electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems Repair small engines and maintenance equipment when needed Keep detailed maintenance records and parts inventory Ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards Qualifications Experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently Experience with buses, fleet vehicles, tractors, or heavy equipment is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Work Environment Outdoor and shop work Opportunities to work around a variety of animals and behind-the-scenes zoo operations Varied mechanical work – no two days are the same Benefits Health, Vision, Dental Insurance 80 hours PTO and 80 hours paid sick time per year Unique work environment Opportunity to be part of a growing zoo and conservation-focused organization Location: Pine Mountain, GA Schedule: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
