Sr. Automation Controls Engineer

Senior Automation Controls Engineer at RayzeBio (Bristol Myers Squibb subsidiary) in Indianapolis. Design, develop, and manage automation systems for radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, including hot cells, filling lines, and facility systems. Lead cross-functional teams to support clinical and commercial production objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage automation and control systems for radiopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities
- Lead deviation investigations, CAPA activities, and change control processes in GMP manufacturing operations
- Architect and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA platforms for facility expansions and commercialization efforts
- Oversee vendor relationships and direct external partners in system selection, installation, and validation
- Mentor junior engineers and staff on automation technologies and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- 7+ years automation/control engineering in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or related Engineering field
- Expert PLC programming (Rockwell/Siemens), SCADA, and HMI development
- Experience with process equipment, instrumentation, control panels, and VFDs
- Deep understanding of GMP, validation, and regulatory standards
- Proven leadership ability and project management experience
- Familiarity with Cognex vision systems and robotics preferred
Compensation: $107,904 - $130,754
