Performs ad-hoc data queries as requested and conducts further account detail analysis communicating their findings Proactively reviews financials and researches causes of various scenarios Communicates with senior management of material errors and possible issues Proactively works with other departments to identify process or systemic differences with the assigned accounts Works closely with Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountants to resolve any/all identified issues Maintains monthly account reconciliations in a format acceptable for use in the year-end audit Completes assigned reconciliations within the specific due dates and resolves all outstanding items in a timely manner Ensures timely entry of the monthly journal entries closing under an assigned schedule Writes up and enters all necessary adjusting entries for assigned accounts required during the month and as identified by the supervisor Assists the manager in the preparation of all required annual and tax return schedules Other duties as assigned by manager Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred 2+ years practical experience in account reconciliation, general ledger, and reporting desired 1+ years administrative/clerical experience 1+ years customer service experience Competencies: Data Entry Telephone Skills Safety Knowledge Reading/Writing Skills Reasoning Skills Organizational Skills Communication Skills Math Skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Office Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access Physical Demands: Talking Sitting Use of Hands Hearing Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds Work Environment: Noise: Quiet Indoors Other Duties: Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings.
