Job Description

The Material Handler supports the full production cycle by moving materials from receiving to production, feeding raw materials into machines, and packaging finished products. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient manufacturing operations while upholding quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials throughout the production process, from receiving through to manufacturing and final packaging.

• Feed machines with raw materials in a timely and accurate manner to support continuous production.

• Package finished products according to established procedures and quality standards.

• Check product labeling for accuracy and completeness before items leave the production area.

• Audit product quality regularly and report any defects, inconsistencies, or issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently, following all operating procedures and guidelines.

• Support production lines as needed, including assisting in assembly tasks and general line operations.

• Cross-train on different positions along the production line to provide coverage wherever needed.

• Use basic hand tools and mechanical skills to support material handling and production activities.

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area in a non-climate-controlled facility.

• Work a consistent 10-hour shift schedule and maintain reliable attendance on either 1st or 2nd shift as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Previous industrial experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong material handling skills, including moving, staging, and organizing raw materials and finished goods.

• Basic production and packaging experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Solid math skills to support counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.

• Knowledge of machine operation and the ability to learn new equipment quickly.

• Ability to work 10-hour shifts on a consistent basis.

• Flexibility to work on 1st or 2nd shift as needed.

• Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to production procedures.

• Attention to detail when checking labels, auditing quality, and packaging products.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
