NORA, the Nationwide Organ Recovery Transport Alliance, partners with Organ Procurement Organizations, Transplant Centers, Hospitals, Living Donor Networks, and Laboratories across the nation. We specialize in executing a seamless "One Call Solution" for Air and Ground Organ Recovery Transportation, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability throughout the process.

NORA is actively recruiting part-time, on-call Organ Transport Drivers to join our mission-driven team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the organ transplant community. Drivers are responsible for collecting organ storage containers and transporting medical teams, organs, tissues, tissue donors, and supplies using NORA vehicles for both emergency and non-emergency organ procurement transportation.

Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Transportation Specialists may perform the following duties and may assist with the respectful movement of tissue donors in accordance with medical, regulatory, and clinical protocols.

Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying organ storage containers

Operating NORA vehicles (SUVs and tissue donor transport vans) in both emergency and non-emergency situations

Loading and unloading transport vehicles with organ storage containers and supplies

Transporting medical teams, organs, tissues, tissue donors, safely and efficiently

Push and pull cots as well as cot transfer tissue donors

Maintaining the highest standards of customer service, quality, safety, and throughout all transports

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of 5 yrs driving experience and Emergency Vehicle Operator Certified (EVOC) professional preferred

Must be at least 25 years of age or older

Must be able to report to location within 3035 minutes of transport assignment location to be able to pick up assigned vehicle

Acceptable state driving record verified through DMV, reviewed annually

Ability to work 24-hour on-call shifts

Professional, service-oriented approach

Successful background and drug screening; criminal charges and convictions may be considered if substantially related to the position

Schedule & Compensation

Part-time, on-call shifts 24-hour with variable schedules

Typically, 23 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays (Not to exceed 30 hours per week)

Driving pay: $28/hour during active transport

On-call rate: $50/day for days scheduled on-call
