Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Holly Springs, North Carolina .


Overview


The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and proper functioning of the facility.


Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
• Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
• Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of experience required.
• Prior maintenance technician experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, food industry, or regulated environment.
• Mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics and electrical basics.
• Experience with minor maintenance tasks such as lightbulb replacements and vendor escorting.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
